What to expect…

  • The entire cat clinic is separated from the dog side.
  • We have our very own cat waiting room which is sound proof and out of sight from the dog waiting room. We provide Feliway towels for clients so they can put this over their carrier to further reduce sound and stress for your feline friend.
  • We have 2 cat only consult rooms, each producing happy cat pheromones by the Feliway diffusers situated around the cat clinic.
  • We also have cat only ICU and hospital cages which meet the ISFM requirements.
  • Our team are trained with stress free handling techniques, this helps understand how to approach and handle cats in a gentle, empathetic and caring manner.
  • We understand the unique needs of cats and have made veterinary visits more cat-friendly
  • Have gold standard equipment needed to investigate and treat feline diseases.

Our Services.

Greencross Vets Penrith Coreen Avenue offer a comprehensive range of professional veterinary services to cater for all your pet care needs utilising the latest diagnostic equipment.

Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dr Evania graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2026.
Growing up surrounded by dogs, rabbits, chinchillas, turtles and many other beloved pets, Evania understands just how much animals mean to their families. She knows that pets are never “just animals”, they are cherished members of the household. This is why she is committed to providing not only high-quality medical care for her patients, but also compassionate support and clear communication for their owners.
Evania has a special interest in small animal rehabilitation and is passionate about helping pets regain comfort, mobility and quality of life. She is dedicated to ongoing continuing education and professional development to ensure she delivers the highest standard of care to every patient she sees.
Outside of work, Evania enjoys going to the gym, exploring new cafés, and spending quality time with friends

Susan is one of the welcoming faces you’ll meet at the front desk. With a natural passion for animals and a deep commitment to providing exceptional customer service, she strives to make every pet owner feel at ease the moment they walk in. Known for her warm demeanor and attention to detail, Susan is always excited to greet your pets, often remembering their names before their owners do!
With a special fondness for cats, especially those with big personalities, Susan brings a sense of comfort to every visit. Whether she’s checking in clients, answering questions, or sneaking in a few extra pets, her goal is always to ensure a smooth, friendly and stress-free experience for both pets and their families.
Having always had a love for animals, Susan finds joy in helping pets feel safe and cared for. When you stop by, be sure to share your pet stories, show off a few pictures, or offer her your favorite coffee recommendation, she’s always up for a chat!

Dr Jess graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Sydney in 2019. Drawn to the challenge and diversity of mixed practice, she began her career in Dubbo, where she gained invaluable experience managing a wide range of medical and surgical cases across both companion animals and livestock.
After returning to Sydney, Dr Jess worked across several clinics as a casual veterinarian, further refining her skills and discovering her professional passions. She eventually found her home with Greencross Vets Coreen Avenue. Jess has a special interest in surgery and is continually expanding her knowledge and skillset in this area to provide the highest standard of care.
Outside of work, she shares her home with two much-loved Persian cats, Laith and Luna, who keep life fluffy and entertaining.

Veterinary Nurse

Sam has been an animal attendant at the clinic since May 2025. She has loved and been surrounded by animals her entire life, which led her to complete a Certificate II in Agriculture at the age of 17. After graduating high school, Sam went on to begin her Bachelor of Animal Science at university, which she is currently completing, with only six months remaining. She plans to continue her studies later this year by undertaking a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Working with animals every day has been a lifelong dream for Sam, and helping people care for their beloved fur babies makes the role even more rewarding. At home, she has her own fur child Buddy, a Mini Fox Terrier x Jack Russell – who she has had since she was 10 years old.

Veterinarian

Dr Samindee joined the Greencross team in 2021, bringing with her nearly two decades of veterinary experience. After graduating with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2002, she began her career as a large animal vet, working closely with livestock and rural communities. In 2016, she transitioned to small animal practice, where she discovered a passion for companion animal care.
Dr Samindee has a special interest in ophthalmology and cardiology and she is committed to staying at the forefront of these evolving fields to provide the best possible care for her patients.
At home, Dr Samindee is kept on her toes by her two much-loved pets, her cat Theo and Dorado, a lively Border Collie

Dr Rebecca graduated as a veterinarian in 2004 and spent her first seven years working in rural mixed practice, gaining broad hands-on experience. She achieved Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Medicine in 2013 and has completed postgraduate training. Rebecca has a strong interest in feline internal medicine and is currently focused on advanced study to further support her feline patients. She values a thoughtful, compassionate approach to medicine and enjoys working closely with pet owners to support both patients and their families.

Jess started her journey with us as a Certificate II Animal Studies, intern in 2024. While studying Jess joined the team as an employee as a a junior veterinary nurse. Her goal is continue studying to complete her Certificate IV in vet nursing to become a qualified nurse.

Jasmine joined the team in 2021 and completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in November 2024. She has a genuine passion for ensuring all pets are treated with love, care, and dignity, and prides herself on supporting both patients and their owners throughout their visit.
When she’s not Nurse Jasmine, she also answers to ‘Mum’ to two energetic human children and her wild Staffy, Zeus.
Jasmine loves having a good catch-up with clients, so expect a friendly conversation along with your pet’s care.
While nail trimming isn’t her favourite pastime (she’s well prepared for the occasional dramatic protest), she always prioritises gentle, stress-free handling.
She truly loves veterinary nursing and feels privileged to care for every animal she meets.

Dr Jessica graduated from the University of Sydney in 2016 and has worked in both emergency hospital settings and GP clinics throughout Sydney before joining the Greencross Coreen Avenue Team in 2021. She has completed further training in ultrasound imaging and has special interests managing chronic disease as well as soft tissue surgery.
She really enjoys taking care of furry creatures both great and small and values the rapport she develops with clients and being able to work collaboratively with them to ensure the best health outcomes for their furry family members.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, bush walking and spending time with family and friends.

Rebekah began working as a veterinary nurse in 2010 and graduated with her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2014. With many years of experience in the field, Rebekah is dedicated to providing compassionate and attentive care to all patients.
Rebekah is a proud mother of two human children and one much-loved fur baby, giving her a deep appreciation for the special bond between pets and their families. She has a particular love for senior patients, who hold a very special place in her heart, and she is passionate about ensuring they are comfortable, cared for, and treated with the dignity they deserve in their golden years.

Amanda began vet nursing in 2008, she received her Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing in 2014. She is a registered vet nurse with the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia. Amanda has always been passionate about animals and has never wanted any other career. Amanda joined the Coreen team October 2023 as a Senior Vet Nurse.
Amanda’s greatest passion is surgery, intensive medical nursing and guiding junior vet nurses on their nursing journey. Watching her patients go from critical to bouncing out the door to go home is her greatest joy. Amanda has a beautiful rescue French Bulldog Lola and a DSH cat that she hand raised from two days old T’Challa. When Amanda isn’t working she is spending time with her fur children, with family and friends, watching movies, doing the river walk.

Louisa is a Veterinary Nurse with over 25 years in the veterinary field. She holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and is a Registered Veterinary Nurse with the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia. Louisa has a strong passion for anesthesia and surgery, where her calm manner, extensive knowledge, and attention to detail help ensure the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. She is deeply committed to treating every patient with genuine care, compassion, and empathy, always striving to make both pets and their owners feel supported.

Outside of work, Louisa enjoys spending quality time with her family and her much-loved pets, Abbey and Pepsi.

Dr Michelle is one of our senior vets and has been with us since graduation from the University of Sydney with Honours in 2007. Passionate about pets health and supporting the human-animal bond, Dr Michelle is well loved by her clients and their pets. Dr Michelle has a soft spot for Dachshunds and last year had to sadly say goodbye to her beautiful 16 year old Mini Dachshund ‘Molly’ who was well known and loved by all the staff here at Greencross Coreen Avenue. Currently she is owned by a cheeky little Dachshund called ‘Archibald’ and a spunky one-eyed cat called ‘Chandler’ saved and adopted from the clinic.

Lauren (or to most better known as Loz) started as a TAFE student in 2012 and not long after gained full time employment whilst completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Lauren has grown up with all sorts of animals and always knew she wanted to work with them someday.
Lauren heads our Cat Clinic and Cat adoption program and has a love of all things cats. She is the nurse most staff seek out when they have that “uncooperative” feline patient. She also has a keen interest in medical cases, pet behaviour and helping out the vets and clients in consult. Lauren is a fur mum to two Jack Russells Ben and Willow, four cats Tabitha, Bandit, Ash and Louie and a one-legged Alexandrian parrot named Basil. Most of which she has adopted when they were in need of a home after arriving at the clinic.

Crysten started working with us in 2016 and completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She always knew from a very young age that she wanted to work with animals, nurse them back to health and assist in educating owners with further knowledge on their beloved pets. She has a strong interest in medical cases, animal behaviour and nothing makes her happier than seeing hospital patients leave happy and healthy. Crysten really enjoys building a strong rapport with clients, getting to know them and treating their fur babies as her own. She is a fur mum to two beautiful Bullmastiffs, Indi and Koda and two cats, Smudge and Munchie.

Practice Manager

Holly is a certified Veterinary Nurse with her Certificate II in Animal Studies and her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Currently, she is studying to be a Veterinary Technologist by completing her Bachelor of Veterinary Technology at University. Holly began her career as a Veterinary Nurse and than progressed into a Practice Manager role at multiple locations within Greencross Vets. While in the clinic, she strives to make sure all pets and clients receive the best care and that all of the team members are able to come to work with a smile on their face. Holly has a love for all animals but especially cats and dogs.
At home, she has a dog, cat, bird and mice of her own that she loves very much.
