Dr Sarah Mansfield

Veterinarian

Dr Sarah joined Greencross in 2023, after graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours).

Sarah has always been very passionate about pets, and she loves being a vet because she can cuddle cute puppies and kittens, but also make a difference in the lives of people and their pets. Sarah is particularly interested in dentistry, surgery, prophylactic medicine, and wildlife.

Outside of work, she and her husband care for their 2 cats, along with hundreds of rare plants. Her interests include ice skating, baking, hiking and going to concerts.

Jazmin Spiteri

Veterinary Nurse

Jazmin joined the team in 2022 and is currently studying Bachelor of Veterinary Technology at University of Queensland. Helping with animals has always been a dream of Jazmin’s. Working at Greencross has given her the opportunity to experience what being a Vet Nurse is all about. She loves learning new things in a clinical environment and helping family pets in times of need and working alongside a knowledgeable and supportive team is just a bonus.
Jazmin would love to specialise in exotic animals, both big and small.
In her spare time, you’ll catch Jazmine playing netball, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.

Zahra Stephens

Veterinary Nurse

Zahra joined Greencross in 2021, while she working towards completing her Bachelor of Veterinary Technology at The University of Queensland.
She says, “Working with animals have always been a passion of mine. They are kind hearted and can never do wrong. I am thankful I can fulfil this passion at Greencross.” Zahra would love to work with large exotic animals.
When she is not at the clinic, she can be found participating in outdoor sports and spending time with her pets.

Claire Ulrich

Veterinary Nurse

Claire joined Greencross in 2021, she is currently studying a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at The University of Queensland and plans to graduate in 2026.
“I love being able to work with a supportive team who are good at balancing teaching and skills.”
When not in the clinic, Claire can be found sewing, creating, rock climbing and dancing.

Dr. Joanna Yu

Veterinarian

Dr Joanna joined Greencross in 2021. She has completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) in 2020 and at the University of Queensland. Dr Joanna also speaks mandarin!
“I love working at Greencross Woolloongabba as there is a great supportive team and a variety of cases that come through the door every day. There is a wide range of specialist procedures available such as dentals, cardiologists and ultrasounds. I love animals and love case work ups and surgeries.”
Dr Joanna would love to specialise in surgery and diagnostic imaging, mainly ultrasounds.
Interests: spending time with Puji (her Poodle x Dachshund), any type of outdoor activities such as hiking, beach, swimming and travelling.

Tammi Cassin

Veterinary Nurse

Tammi joined Greencross in 2020 She has completed her Certificate II in vet nursing and is planning to study a Certificate IV in vet nursing.
“I enjoy working with animals and being able to help them in their time of need. There is nothing more rewarding then nursing a sick animal back to health. A big bonus is the cuddles!”
Tammi enjoys assisting in surgical procedures because the vets have so much knowledge to share. She also loves to care for hospitalised patients and would like to care for exotics such as guinea pigs and rats.
Interests: Spending time with her Jug, Spencer, painting and drawing, dancing, socialising with friends and gardening.

Ellise Mortensen

Veterinary Nurse

Ellise joined Greencross in 2013. She has completed her Certificate IV in vet nursing in 2015.
She says, “I like working at Greencross Woolloongabba because I get to see and work on a variety of cases.”
Ellise has a keen interest in medicine, emergency and critical care.
Interests: Gardening and horse riding.

Charlotte Ritchie

Veterinary Nurse

Charlotte joined Greencross in 2022. She completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of New England in 2017, Masters of Conversational Biology at The University of Queensland and has a Certificate III in captive animals.
“I love working directly with animals and their owners. I like seeing successful relationships fostered that keep people coming back. I haven’t been at Greencross for long yet but I feel this can be successful here.”
Charlotte has experience with dog training as well as inventory managerial experience at an emergency referral vet.
Interests: spending time with her fiancé and friends at breweries and getting coffee. Loves hiking and loves her 2 Frenchies ‘Blanche’ and ‘Alfred’ who are currently in Canada.

Dr Hedi Yin BVSc

Veterinarian

Dr Hedi joined Greencross in 2018, brining with her a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours). She says, “I love all animals, your pets are my pets.” Dr Hedi would love to specialise in surgery – preferably orthopaedical.
Interests: reading, piano, gaming, hiking and sitting with her Siamese cat Max.

Megan Carlisle

Practice Manger
Megan has always had a strong passion for animals beginning veterinary nursing when she was 16 years old, while completing her senior certificate. Despite working in a number of other industries including hospitality, retail and administration, she has always considered veterinary nursing as the career for her. She completed her L2 Veterinary Nursing Qualifications in 1999 and her Business Degree with a major in Economics at the University of Queensland in 2011. Megan has been a part of the Greencross Vets team since 2004 and considers the Woolloongabba team as her ‘work family’. She loves the positive, fun and friendly working environment provided by her team and enjoys catching up with regular clients and their furry family members!

Dr Shane Kennedy

Veterinary Director

Dr Tim joined Greencross in 2003. He has completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) at the University of Queensland and graduated in 1997.
“I love seeing the family pet bond and making sure it is as strong as it should be.”
Tim loves surgery as well as diagnostic imaging and is interested in stem cell transplants.
Interests: rock climbing, playing ultimate disk frisbee and trail running with his family.
