Since my first day at the Greencross clinic I have felt welcome as part of the family. I started the Internship because I care greatly for animals and love the impact they have on my life. Everyone at my clinic seems to feel the same. I completed a certificate II in animal studies with the Internship and am currently undertaking studies for Certificate IV.

The practical nature of the Internship has given context to my course-work, and greatly accelerated my learning. I recommend the course to anyone considering becoming a veterinary nurse. The structure of the program, and the friendly like-minded people of Greencross make it a wonderful path to follow.

The Vet Nurse Internship has been an invaluable experience that has well and truly launched my career in the veterinary industry. I found the online structure easy to fit around my busy schedule and the hands on experience really built my confidence when it came to the practical aspects. The annual Greencross Symposium was definitely a highlight for me, it was great to meet my fellow interns and attend lectures from top authorities in the field. By the end of the course I felt job-ready and ready to tackle my Cert IV!

I feel very fortunate to have been chosen to participate in the Greencross Vet Nurse Internship Program. The knowledge and experience I have gained through the program has been invaluable and has helped me gain employment in the industry. The quality of the program is excellent, from the support and training from my mentor and other staff at the vet clinic I was at, support from my workplace trainer down to the online learning component of program. For me, the best part of the program was the hands on practical experience, getting behind the scenes and seeing what it’s like to work in the industry. I would highly recommend this program to anyone wanting to pursue a career in vet nursing.?

“I loved the hands on learning – this is how I learn best”

I thoroughly enjoyed the twelve months spent undertaking my Internship. The quality of the program is exceptional with easy to read text books and great people to work with who have had years to hone their skills, they are truly inspiring. The online component is super easy to use and makes every aspect of the internship much simpler – help, if not sourced in clinic, is only an email away.

I loved the hands on learning – this is how I learn best – the clinic staff helped me pick everything up quickly from the administrative duties to animal handling and diagnostics. I enjoyed being able to be in clinic watching surgery and emergency cases where only experience can ascertain positive results, everyone bands together and its extremely fulfilling when you succeed in helping such beautiful creatures. I would highly recommend the course to anyone thinking about pursuing a career in Veterinary Nursing. I could do such work all day every day for the rest of my life, it’s simply great.
