Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Dr Lachlan Bannister

Dr Lachlan Bannister

Veterinarian

I am a graduate veterinarian currently working as a GP at Greencross. I began studying at university immediately after finishing school and was awarded a Bachelor of Veterinary Science with honours from the University of Queensland in 2023. Prior to starting at Greencross I worked as a small animal emergency and critical care intern. My primary interests are anaesthesia and internal medicine. I enjoy the management of chronic diseases, particularly heart disease and chronic pain. I derive an immense amount of personal satisfaction from the improvement in quality of life that medical management is able to achieve for my patients.

Outside of work I am currently completing a master’s degree in epidemiology, the study of the incidence, distribution and control of disease. I hope to be able to use this training in the future to contribute to the research of new treatments for disease and to further understand why disease occurs. Whilst I was at university, I developed an interest in amateur astronomy which continues through to today. In the past I have had Abyssinians and love the breed.

Dr Cassie Gleeson

I have always been passionate about pets, working in the veterinary industry for over five years and completing a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland in 2013. I am passionate about learning new skills and have an interest in animal behaviour and training, to help strengthen the bond between our pets and their families. In addition to this, I am also interested in all aspects of veterinary surgery, particularly orthopaedics. When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me supporting local animal welfare charities to help rehome pets, or spoiling my extensive fur-family including four cats (Shellie, Daisy, Bandit and Mort), two Cockatiels (Cookie and Lollie), a Cattle Dog X named Scout and a Border Collie named Missy.
