Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dentistry

Greencross Vets offer a range of dentistry services like cat and dog teeth cleaning. Consider us your pet’s veterinarian and dentist combined.

Dr Miya Rajan

Dr Miya Rajan

Veterinarian

Miya is one of the newest members of our team, bringing a fresh mindset along with plenty of heart and enthusiasm to this exciting new chapter of her veterinary career. Her love for animals began in childhood and has only grown stronger over the years, ultimately inspiring her to pursue veterinary medicine.
Miya is committed to building trust through gentle handling and heartfelt care, ensuring both pets and their people feel at ease. She has a special interest in small animal medicine and emergency care, and is eager to apply her knowledge and skills to help our furry companions live longer, healthier and happier lives.
Outside of work, she enjoys Pilates, cooking, exploring the outdoors on long walks and spending time with her two adorable cats, Zucchini & Tigger.

Jess Kent

Veterinary Nurse Manager

Jess has been with Greencross Vets since 2019, working at different clinics over the years before taking on the Head Veterinary Nurse role at Craigieburn in mid-2022. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing but is most passionate about surgery, nutrition and patient care. Having completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing 2021, Jess’ goal is to become an Emergency & Critical Care Nurse in the future as she has always had an interest in helping patients in a critical time of need and also hopes to work closer with our Australian native wildlife in the future. Jess is kept bust at home with 3 pets, a Maltese X Silky Terrier named Hanna and two rescue cats named Snowy and Luna

Yimei Deng

Veterinarian

Dr. Yimei completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne. After graduation, she practiced in China before moving back to Melbourne in 2024. Yimei is committed to providing high-quality care and encouraging client education. She can speak English and Mandarin.

Yimei has a cat called Yuumi, named after her favourite character in League of Legends. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys playing video games and reading books.

Veterinary Nurse

Chelsea became apart of the Greencross Hurstbridge team as a student nurse in 2023, then eventually joined the Craigieburn team. She has been dedicated to her studies and internship, and has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2025. Growing up, Chelsea was always surrounded by animals, from pets to farm animals and wildlife, and knew she wanted to work with animals since she was a little girl.

Chelsea enjoys assisting with surgery monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients. She is committed to helping other pet owners with advice and support to best care for their pets. She also has a passion for wildlife care, especially in Hurstbridge, where she frequently encounters possums, kangaroos, birds and even wombats.

In her free time, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her two cheeky girls – Sandy, her American Shepherd, and Ally, her Persian cat. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, and loves traveling, shopping and watching the footy when Carlton wins.

Dr Andrew Weller

Veterinary Director

Andrew has a deep passion for veterinary medicine, driven by a desire to share knowledge and foster meaningful, sustainable relationships between pets and their families. While his career has spanned various areas—including equine, large animal, research, and teaching—he has ultimately focused on small animal primary care. With nearly 10 years of hands-on experience working with cats and dogs, Andrew is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care.

His areas of particular interest include proactive and preventive medicine, tailoring treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each pet and family, and sharing clear, honest information about the latest advancements in veterinary care. Andrew believes in empowering pet owners with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their pets’ health and well-being.

Hannah Callejia

Hannah Callejia

Ever since Hannah was little, she was always into animals and the care required for them. As she grew up, she was determined to become a vet nurse and focused her studies into animals and their care. Since then, she has completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies and Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. With her love for every sized pet, she started working at Greencross in 2023. Her passion for animals grows every day, including her knowledge on them and everything needed to care for them.

Outside of work Hannah loves to cuddle with her two pugaliers, Gibson and Oscar, and prevent them from causing too much trouble. Not only has she had 3 dogs, but has had a variety of pets growing up. From rescuing cats, to rabbits, to even horses. Hannah will always love every animal but will always have a soft spot for Rottweilers and Pugs.

Kaitlyn Sammut

Kaitlyn Sammut

Veterinary Nurse

Kaitlyn began her time at Greencross in August 2022 and since then has been working casually between four separate clinics. She has had a love for animals of all shapes and sizes since she was a young girl and grew up surrounded by dogs, birds, fish and insects.

Kaitlyn plans to move to a permanent role and will soon be commencing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She takes pride in her ability to communicate with clients in stressful and high-pressure circumstances and is passionate about animal rescue and recovery.

In her home life, Kaitlyn lives with two very cheeky rescue cats, Nardo and Beanie, and has a love for all things hands-on including cooking, fishing, camping and arts and craft.

Dr Avanti Caldera

Dr Avanti Caldera

Veterinarian

Avanti graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2016, achieving her lifelong dream of becoming a vet. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine in particular canine and feline internal medicine, geriatric pet health and palliative care. Outside of work Avanti enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening and cooking but most of all enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is also kept busy with her three cheeky cats and two dogs. Avanti joined the team at Greencross Vets Craigieburn in 2021 and is looking forward to meeting all the local clients and their furry friends.

Emily Maznioski-Young

Veterinary Nurse

Emily’s life has always had something to do with animals and grew up with Jack Russell terriers. She knew her path in life was to help and support animals and started her veterinary nursing journey at the age of 16. Emily has been working at Greencross since 2022. She holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and a certificate of attainment in dog behaviour and training. Emily’s always had a passion for helping animals great and small and interest in veterinary nursing is emergency, surgery procedures and neonate care.

Outside of work she is with her Jack Russell terrier Lexi exploring and camping around Australia and creating memories or at the stables doing horse riding. Emily can’t wait to meet your fury members of the family!
