In addition, we’re expanding our appointment availability to make it easier for you to care for your furry family members. We now offer more flexible appointment times, including Saturday openings, so you can find a time that suits your busy schedule.

Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dr. Kiarrah Bishop

Veterinarian

Kiarrah graduated from the University of Queensland in 2024. She has wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age and can’t imagine a career doing anything else! While she likes all aspects of veterinary science, she loves surgery in particular. Outside of work, Kiarrah can be found at the beach, reading, travelling, or spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys spoiling her gorgeous Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Murphy! Kiarrah is looking forward to getting to know and treat your beloved furry companions.

Veterinary Director

Our Veterinary Director Charlotte grew up on a beef cattle property in beautiful Maleny before graduating from the University of Queensland in 2010. After graduating she moved to remote WA and managed the South Hedland Vet Hospital for seven years before returning home to the Sunshine Coast. She loves the outdoors and exploring the more isolated and beautiful parts of our country.

As a veterinarian, her primary interests lie in the surgical field and she is currently undertaking additional study to aim towards specialist qualifications in this area. Charlotte performs a vast array of orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries within the clinic and loves seeing the new lease on life that this provides for her patients.

Dr Katrina Thomas

Veterinarian

Dr Katrina is a recent graduate from the University of Queensland, having pursued her dream to become a veterinarian following a rewarding career of many years as a wildlife scientist.

Katrina first entered the veterinary world nursing at a 24-hour referral hospital, during which time she developed an interest in emergency medicine. She is also especially interested in pain management and everything greyhound-related, but ultimately loves all aspects of being a vet!

When not working, Katrina loves relaxing with her three dogs Torrey (a Swiss shepherd x Australian cattle dog), Tess and Nellie (both greyhounds), trying her hand at craft, and exploring the beautiful Sunshine Coast.”

Savannah Fahey

Savannah joined our team in 2022 to start her Vet Nursing career with our Greencross internship program and completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies. She has recently graduated with her Certificate IV in veterinary nursing.
Savannah has a passion and love for helping others and shows that within her work. She is always eager to learn new skills especially in surgery, helping monitor patients during their procedures and giving them extra love during their recovery. She has a love for all animals but has a soft spot for staffy’s. and is always up for a cuddle.
Outside of work you’ll either find her enjoying the beach, swimming, or walking with her fur baby Howdy, the border collie.

Our head nurse Mikayla has been working with Greencross since 2019 after starting her certificate 3 in animal studies and completing her placement with us, she then continued on with her Certificate 4 in Vet Nursing.

Mikayla loves working closely with our Hospital and Surgery patients to ensure they are getting the very best of care while staying with us. She loves helping all of our furry patients get back to their fun, happy selves again after needing some time in hospital.

In her spare time you can find her at the beach or camping with her two border collies Sadie and Billie.

Jade Donoghue

Ever since Jade can remember she has always wanted to work with animals. Her purpose is to help others in need and after studying Psychology for just under two years she felt something was missing. She initially volunteered at the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge to get some basic experience and to care for the surrendered animals which she really enjoyed. She then decided to switch up careers and joined our team in 2020 to start her Vet Nursing career with our Greencross internship program studying her Certificate II in Animal Studies. She has now found a love for creating a rapport and relationship with our clients and is now our main receptionist. Her dream dog is a Golden Retriever so if you own one, she will without a doubt make time for cuddles! In her free time, you will find her at the beach, going on walks or road tripping in her van.

Vicky is originally from Argentina, where she completed her Veterinary Diploma on 2012 and started work as a Vet. Vicky moved to Australia in 2019 and joined the Greencross family in 2023 as a Vet Nurse.

Her main passion is Surgery and hospital patients and helping those get back to their happy self. After 10 years in the industry, it is clear she loves helping animals and clients.

In her spare time, she enjoys being out in nature, hiking, snorkelling and exploring all the beautiful places on the Sunshine Coast.

Danyelle started working at Greencross Kawana Waters in 2019 where she completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Danyelle enjoys all aspects of her job and is always eager to learn new skills to better her nursing career. Danyelle is a fur parent to Archie the Golden Retriever, who is a bundle of energy and love. In her spare time, you will find her and Archie enjoying swims at the beach.

Natalie Vinko

Practice Manager

Natalie holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and is the Practice Manager at Kawana Waters. While it may be cliché, she has a deep love for our fluffy four-legged friends and enjoys spending time with them. Ensuring pets receive the attention and treatment they need while meeting their owners’ expectations is her top priority. As both a manager and a nurse, she is always available to help and listen to any concerns. Natalie has two beloved dogs, Jack (a Golden Retriever) and Jill (a Chocolate Labrador), who she considers her babies. And no, she does not have any favorites!
