Dr Julie Daniels

Dr Julie Daniels

Hi, my name is Julie and I am happy to be joining the team as a vet at Greencross Morayfield.
My first veterinary job was in a large and small animal practice in central Queensland. It was a steep learning curve as it was a two-vet practice that covered a large area. We mainly treated beef cattle, horses, dairy cattle, dogs and cats with the occasional sheep, pig and ostrich. We saw quite a lot of emergency cases and during after-hours my vet assistant was either the owner, or the new dentist in town who would later become my husband! As you can imagine, I have some very interesting cases and stories to tell.
We moved to the Sunshine coast when our two daughters were 3 and 5 years old. I originally did locum work until I found work at the Caboolture veterinary clinic where I worked part-time for many years. I have worked a mixture of permanent part-time work with locum since. Earlier this year I worked at Morayfield doing some locum work and am fortunate to join their friendly and caring team on a regular basis. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and their pets during visits to the practice.
My veterinary interests are varied- I enjoy cats, dentistry, dermatology and internal medicine. I am a firm believer in preventative health as well. When I am away from work, I enjoy catching up with friends, travelling, walking, gardening and attempting craft projects (I have quite a few dodgy pottery pieces in my garden!).
