We are a Cat Friendly Hospital! ?

What to expect…

  • The entire cat clinic is separated from the dog side.
  • We have our very own cat waiting room which is sound proof and out of sight from the dog waiting room. We provide Feliway towels for clients so they can put this over their carrier to further reduce sound and stress for your feline friend.
  • We have 2 cat only consult rooms, each producing happy cat pheromones by the Feliway diffusers situated around the cat clinic.
  • We also have cat only ICU and hospital cages which meet the ISFM requirements.
  • Our team are trained with stress free handling techniques, this helps understand how to approach and handle cats in a gentle, empathetic and caring manner.
  • We understand the unique needs of cats and have made veterinary visits more cat-friendly
  • Have gold standard equipment needed to investigate and treat feline diseases.

We look forward to meeting you and your cats!

Our Services.

Greencross Vets Penrith Coreen Avenue offer a comprehensive range of professional veterinary services to cater for all your pet care needs utilising the latest diagnostic equipment.

Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Meet The Team

Dr Michelle Okorn

Dr Michelle Okorn

Dr Michelle is one of our senior vets and has been with us since graduation from the University of Sydney with Honours in 2007. Passionate about pets health and supporting the human-animal bond, Dr Michelle is well loved by her clients and their pets. Dr Michelle has a soft spot for Dachshunds and last year had to sadly say goodbye to her beautiful 16 year old Mini Dachshund ‘Molly’ who was well known and loved by all the staff here at Greencross Coreen Avenue. Currently she is owned by a cheeky little Dachshund called ‘Archibald’ and a spunky one-eyed cat called ‘Chandler’ saved and adopted from the clinic.

Lauren Dickie

Lauren Dickie

Lauren (or to most better known as Loz) started as a TAFE student in 2012 and not long after gained full time employment whilst completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Lauren has grown up with all sorts of animals and always knew she wanted to work with them someday.
Lauren heads our Cat Clinic and Cat adoption program and has a love of all things cats. She is the nurse most staff seek out when they have that “uncooperative” feline patient. She also has a keen interest in medical cases, pet behaviour and helping out the vets and clients in consult. Lauren is a fur mum to two Jack Russells Ben and Willow, four cats Tabitha, Bandit, Ash and Louie and a one-legged Alexandrian parrot named Basil. Most of which she has adopted when they were in need of a home after arriving at the clinic.

Angela Hibbert

Angela Hibbert

Angela joined Greencross Vets in 2019 and is completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She found her passion for Veterinary and animal care after working in banking for 13 years… and never looked back! She has a keen interest in animal comfort, medicine and palliative care. She’s always there to offer her patients a cuddle and enjoys building relationships with pet owners. Angela also has a background in mentoring and training and enjoys using these skills to support her peers in the Veterinary industry. She is a fur mum to 2 beautiful dogs, Kayla and Oscar and a deaf cat called Finn.

Crysten Hall

Crysten Hall

Crysten started working with us in 2016 and completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She always knew from a very young age that she wanted to work with animals, nurse them back to health and assist in educating owners with further knowledge on their beloved pets. She has a strong interest in medical cases, animal behaviour and nothing makes her happier than seeing hospital patients leave happy and healthy. Crysten really enjoys building a strong rapport with clients, getting to know them and treating their fur babies as her own. She is a fur mum to two beautiful Bullmastiffs, Indi and Koda and two cats, Smudge and Munchie.
