Dr Ellen was raised with the love of many pets, including her German shepherd, cockatiel, budgies, rabbits, guinea pigs and fish. Ellen graduated with a Bachelor in Biomedicine (Hons) in 2015 and initially worked as a cancer genetic counsellor. During the next years, Ellen was managing the health of her own pets and felt there could be better veterinary care and advocacy for more diverse pet species. She pursued the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne, and during these years worked part-time as an exotics veterinary nurse. She joined the Greencross group as a new graduate veterinarian in 2024.

Ellen currently shares her home with two rescued rabbits, Potato and Hava. In her spare time, she enjoys fitness and loves outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing.
